Today we will turn our attention to those who minister and/or lead within the church in ways outside of a formal ministry or office.

Pray for men and women who serve and give to the needs of others!
Romans 16:1-2 “I commend to you our sister Phoebe […] for she has been a patron of many and of myself as well.”

Pray for men and women who risk their lives and livelihoods for the saints and for Christ!
Romans 16:3-4 “Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, who risked their necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks but all the churches of the Gentiles give thanks as well.:

Pray for mature men and women who give time and energy to discipling and training the next generation!
Acts 18:26 “but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately."

Pray for men and women who encourage, exhort, or admonish!
1 Thessalonians 5:14 “And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.”

Pray for men and women who labor as peacemakers within the body!
1 Thessalonians 5:14 “I entreat Euodia and I entreat Syntyche to agree in the Lord. 3 Yes, I ask you also, true companion, help these women, who have labored side by side with me in the gospel…”

Pray for men and women who use their homes as tools of ministry.
Acts 16:14-15 “…a woman named Lydia […] And after she was baptized, and her household as well, she urged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.””

What other ways do men and women informally minister within the body? The above is just a sample of the many different men and women who are recorded in the Bible to have served in, perhaps, unrecognized roles.

Operation Kindness:
Expand
Operation Kindness reflects a cooperative desire by areas churches to bless the community with the joy of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We would like to give 1000 Easter buckets to children in area hospitals, shelters, and senior adults in nursing homes the week preceding Easter. You can assist us in the following ways:

1. Pray that lives will be transformed by the Gospel. An age-appropriate gospel tract and a blessing card directing them to the website www.jesusforgenesee.com. will be in each bucket.

2. Purchase a variety candy that we can put in the buckets. It doesn't have to be Easter candy per se, but it does have to be packaged candy. Unfortunately b/c of the pandemic restrictions no home made treats will be accepted. Please have the candy at Bethany by no later than March 21.
3. We will fill the buckets on March 23 at Bethany. If you can help us on that day for either the whole day or a portion of it, we will be grateful for your help.

If you have any questions about how you can participate, please feel free to contact us.
