Isaiah 14:12-14 (TLB) 12How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground—mighty though you were against the nations of the world. 13For you said to yourself, “I will ascend to heaven and rule the angels. I will take the highest throne. I will preside on the Mount of Assembly far away in the north. 14I will climb to the highest heavens and be like the Most High.”
Ephesians 2:2 (TLB) 2You went along with the crowd and were just like all the others, full of sin, obeying Satan, the mighty prince of the power of the air, who is at work right now in the hearts of those who are against the Lord.
Observations about Satan’s kingdom
1. Satan and his kingdom is rebellious

Ezekiel 28:12-15 (TLB) 12“…You were the perfection of wisdom and beauty. 13You were in Eden, the garden of God; your clothing was bejeweled with every precious stone—ruby, topaz, diamond, chrysolite, onyx, jasper, sapphire, carbuncle, and emerald—all in beautiful settings of finest gold. They were given to you on the day you were created. 14I appointed you to be the anointed Guardian Angel. You had access to the holy mountain of God. You walked among the stones of fire. 15“‘You were perfect in all you did from the day you were created until that time when wrong was found in you.
Ezekiel 28:16 (TLB) 16Your great wealth filled you with internal turmoil, and you sinned. Therefore, I cast you out of the mountain of God like a common sinner. I destroyed you, O Guardian Angel, from the midst of the stones of fire.
“I will ascend to heaven.” Satan could go into heaven anytime he wanted. He was talking about a direct attack on God’s throne.
“I will take the highest throne.” Satan wanted to seize God’s authority over the angelic creation.
“I will preside on the Mount of Assembly.” The word “mountain” in the Bible is a symbol of authority or rule, Isaiah 2:2. Satan wanted to direct the universe.
“I will climb to the highest heavens.” One type of heaven is the clouds that are used to reflect the glory of God. Satan wanted to receive greater glory than God. One understanding of glory is to put someone on display.
“I will be like the Most High.” This was Satan’s highest aim…to be like God. But Satan does not have God’s attributes. God is eternal; Satan is a created being. God is omnipresent; Satan can only be in one place at a time. God is omniscient; Satan does not know the future unless it is revealed to him.
