Overcoming Barriers

Our mission is:

"Lead people to Jesus and fully follow Him together."

As followers of Jesus, it is essential that we overcome our fears and the awkwardness we feel toward people who are different from us.

How are YOU at pushing past cultural, racial & other barriers to love people different from you, and to share Jesus with them?

God doesn’t SHOW FAVORTISM, and neither should you!

A message for Cornelius:

Forgiveness through Jesus is powerful enough to REACH ANYONE.”

God accepts ON EQUAL TERMS anyone whose faith is in Jesus.

HOW CAN WE OVERCOME OUR BARRIERS?

1. Recognize, before God, you’re NO DIFFERENT from them.

2. Remember, at one time, you too were FAR FROM GOD.

3. Repeat the Gospel TO YOURSELF over and over.

4. Take steps to GET CLOSER to someone different from you.

If all we can see is someone’s SIN, we will NEVER learn to love them.

Who have you avoided or ignored because you felt uncomfortable around them?

1.God doesn’t show favoritism, and neither should you.

2.Forgiveness through Jesus is powerful enough to reach anyone.

My next step with God this week is to...
