Understanding Suffering
I. Remember who you are in Christ.
v. 8-12 - Peter reminds the church what he has already taught them because identity matters in understanding suffering.
1. You are the people of God.
2. You have a great calling upon your life.
3. God desires to bless you above all else.
II. Suffering is a blessing for the Christian.
3 Blessings Peter mentions:
1. You do not have to fear the circumstances of suffering.
2. You get an opportunity to share the reason you act differently.
3. You can have assurance that you are pursuing the will of God.
