God Can

I. God is Turning Things Around
Ephesians 3:20 (NASB) Now to Him who is ableto do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,
DEFINE: Able - Having the Necessary Power and Resources to Move Forward.

PRINCIPLE 1: Many Times, it Takes Us Facing Impossibilities to Look to God for Possibilities!

A. Drawing from God when Options Run Out

2 Corinthians 4:7–9 (NKJV)7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.8 We are9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—

PRINCIPLE 2: When We are Outdone, Overwhelmed and Out of Options, We can Look to God for Possibilities.
B. WhenOptions Run Out Opportunities Open Upfor God
Here the Children of Israel have No Options; there is a Mountain on the Left, a Mountain on the Right, and a Desert filled with Pharaoh’s Army Behind them!

PRINCIPLE 3: When Options Run Out, Opportunities Open Up for God to Show Himself Able.
C. Looking to God
Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV) So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.
PRINCIPLE 4: We Might Run Out of Options, but God Never Runs Out of Opportunities!
II. God Turns Obstacles into Opportunity
DEFINE: Opportunity - A Condition that Makes it Possible for Something to Happen.
Exodus 14:13-15(NKJV)And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” 15 And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
PRINCIPLE 5: When We are Out of Options, We Step into the Position where God is the Only One Who Can!
A. Going Forward when Options Run Out
Exodus 14:16–17 (NKJV) 16 But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry 17 And I indeed will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. So I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen.
PRINCIPLE 6: When Placed in the Position where there is No Option, We must Take Our Eyes Off of the Impossibility and Turn Our Eyes to the God of Possibilities!
B. God Turns Impossibilities into Possibilities
Matthew 19:26 (NKJV) But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
QUOTE: “I have Been Driven Many Times Upon My Knees by the Overwhelming Conviction that I Had Nowhere Else to Go but to God.” Abraham Lincoln
C. Turning Our Eyes to God
In 2 Chronicles, Three Confederate Armies Invade Israel and King Jehoshaphat Calls for a Three Day Fast to Seek God.
The Singers were Placed on the Front Lines and as They went into Battle They Sang, “O God You are Good and Your Mercies Endure Forever”.
God sent Angelic Forces into the Enemy’s Camp and Destroyed the Enemy.
2 Chronicles 20:12 (NKJV) O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes
PRINCIPLE 7: Obstacles Must be Turned into Opportunities to Seek God!
D. The Greater One Lives Within
1 John 4:4 (NASB)You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
When We Run Out of Options Out Here, We Turn to what We have in Us.
