Fresh Wind | Seven Critical Questions

Fresh Wind | Seven Critical Questions

The difference between religion and relationship, when we’re talking about God, is what we’re following. If we’re following the rules, that’s religion, but if we’re following Jesus, that’s relationship. Following Jesus is about learning to rest in the grace of God’s love and respond to the life flowing from his Spirit. Join us for a faith-changing series about what it really means to follow Jesus from what many have called the most important chapter in the entire Bible – Romans 8.

Welcome to Mission Hills!

Mission Hills is a church family—a family who wants to extend to you the same love, hope, and joy that we have received. We know that we cannot be all things to all people. But we do want to be one thing to all people. We want to be the place where anyone, of any age, of any level of spiritual maturity, of any economic class, of any ethnicity, of any church background—or no church background—can meet God in a way that transforms their life…forever!

If you are a first time guest, we would love to meet you! Stop by the Welcome Center for a free gift.
Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit so that we could be everything the rules tells us we should be.
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? (Romans 8:31a)
God is for us.
What’s working against me believing that God is for me?
If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31b)
We have no enemy with any hope of victory.
What enemy do I need to remember has no hope of victory?
God's grace has no limits.
Paul is talking about all the things necessary to accomplish God’s purpose for us.
This isn’t a promise of plenty…this is a promise of purpose.
We’ve been cleared of all charges at the highest possible level.
God didn't just drop the charges, He paid their price.
if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (John 8:36)
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? (Romans 8:35a)
No one can separate us from Jesus.
Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For Your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (Romans 8:35b-37)
No thing can separate us from Jesus
Faith in Jesus doesn’t guarantee peace with the world but victory over the world.
Our adoption is irrevocable!
There is literally nothing that can separate the followers of Jesus from God’s love.
God is for you.
