What is God's will for me?

What is God's will for me?

Ever feel unsure how to pray or uncertain what to say to God? Or just like the whole concept of talking with Him is a struggle? So did Jesus’ early followers! When they asked Him to teach them, He responded with a concise yet powerful prayer commonly called “The Lord’s Prayer.” Whether you grew up reciting this prayer or have never heard it before, all of us can find it emptied of its power for life and godliness…if we don’t seek a deep understanding of the rich truths it contains. Prayer 101 is an opportunity to internalize this prayer for ourselves and pray it – with understanding – back to God, our loving and gracious Father.

This Week's Sermon: What is God's will for me?
Let your kingdom come

Heaven and Earth

Christians often find themselves wrestling with the question, what is Heaven like? So, what we does the Bible say about Heaven and its relation to Earth?
Additionally, we'll explore how this intersects with the concept of the kingdom of God.

The Treasure Principle

Jesus spent more time talking about money and possessions than about heaven and hell combined. But too often we’ve overlooked or misunderstood his most profound teaching on this topic, from his words in Matthew 6. Jesus offers us life-changing investment advice. He actually wants us to store up treasures for ourselves—just not here on earth. Instead, he urges us to store our treasure in heaven, where they will await us, and last forever. We can’t take it with us—but we can send it on ahead!

Next Week's Sermon

Give us this day our daily bread. We've spent time recognizing our great God who has adopted us into His family, pleaded for his kingdom to come and his will to be done on earth as in heaven. Now we move from these spiritual realities to basic physical needs. Along the way we'll be asking if God really cares about the little things (like food and daily sustenance). Can we really ask him for such physical needs?
