How to Be Still Well

How to Be Still Well

In our Christian life, routines are great, but we want to teach believers practices and encourage habits to affect other areas of their lives. What are the best practices of maturing followers of Christ? Each practice is a tool we use to live out and pass on our identity

About FM First Baptist

Flower Mound First Baptist has been making much of Jesus in the Timber Creek area for over 30 years. Every week we gather to magnify Christ in word & deed, mature as Christ-followers, and multiply and make disciples for Christ. Our garden is a living parable of the Good Gardener's work in and through us.

Mark 6:31

Mark 6:45-47

Galatians 1:17-18

Psalm 46:8-11

The measure of maturity is Christ himself.

Matthew 4:1-4

God is the safest place for true believers.
Why is it so difficult for our culture to be silent & still?
In solitude, there is something to DO.
In solitude, there is someone to KNOW.
In solitude, there is something to SEE.
Something to Start - Being Silent & Still
1. Cultivate a daily rhythm.
2. Gaze on Christ with the eyes of your soul.
3. Create reminders.
4. Develop a quiet place.
5. Receive divine restoration.

Give Here

Giving is an act of worship. We acknowledge God as the supreme treasure of our hearts & homes. We give to him as a way of praising and thanking him for his abundant grace toward us. We trust the Father will care for us as he does the rest of creation. It also frees us to live simple lives unhindered from what moth and rust can destroy.
