Be One – Become A Storm Chaser

Become a person focused on the eternal mission, not the ever-changing crisis.

Biblical hope is the confident expectation of what God has promised and its strength is in His faithfulness.

The Great Commission
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
- Matthew 28:18 - 20

Hope is not some inward dream. Hope is an outward mission.

Three things to know when becoming a Storm Chaser for Jesus.

Know where your hope comes from.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”
- Matthew 28:18

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Romans 15:13

Who do you put your hope in?

Understand your mission.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
- Matthew 28:19 - 20a

What if people don’t agree with my beliefs?
Do I have to love those people?

Where is Jesus in all of this?

I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.
- 1 Corinthians 1:10

Know that it’s worth the risk.

“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
- Matthew 28:20b

Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
- Romans 5:3 - 5

“This is preeminently the time to speak the truth, the whole truth, frankly and boldly. Nor need we shrink from honestly facing conditions in our country today. This great nation will endure, as it has endured, will revive and will prosper. So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself — nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance.”
- Franklin D. Roosevelt

Two Questions…
Have you quit loving people who are different from you?
What can you do today?

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
- 1 Peter 3:15
