Rethinking What It Means To Follow Christ In A World That Is Not Our Home
Corporate Prayer:
• Pray for someone you know that is in the middle of a crisis or grieving.
• Pray for our country’s new administration. (1 Timothy 2:2)
• Pray for peace in our cities.
• Pray for the urgencies on your own heart today.
• God will use "trials of various kinds” to separate us from our fascination and attachment to this world.
• A "living hope" results from the present joy of walking in step with our resurrected Jesus.

• We need to discover, more and more, that real peace comes from our daily walk with Jesus.
• Share the life of Jesus daily, and share YOUR life WITH Jesus.

1. Have you known someone that has experienced real testing? Describe their faith.
2. Does God bring or allow tests in our lives? Or does Satan bring trials, and then God uses them for our maturity?
3. After these 4 weeks in 1 Peter, what must one do to begin living like a resident alien rather than a resident investor?
4. How do we effectively end our fascination with this world while we live and work here as responsible citizens?
