God Summons Us

Welcome

Call to Worship

Leader: We will call upon You, for You will answer us

All: O God; incline Your ear to us; hear our words.

Leader: Wondrously show Your steadfast love, O Savior of those who seek refuge from their adversaries at Your right hand.

All: Hide us in the shadow of Your wings,

Leader: As for us, we shall behold Your face in righteousness;

All: When we awake, we shall be satisfied with Your likeness.
Psalm 17:5-8, 15 ESV

SUNDAY SCHOOL - ONLINE AND IN-PERSON

Every Sunday we will continue to offer online Sunday school for children from pre-K through 5th grade at 9:00am.

We also offer in-person Sunday school for elementary aged children for the entire service at 11:00am. You will need to sign your kids up online prior to Sunday morning; when you sign up, you should also print a COVID questionnaire (1 per family).

Please e-mail hlawton@cpcbarn.org for more information.
Our hope is that you enjoy corporate worship this morning as we pray, sing, confess, and open the Lord’s Word together. This is both for our good on Sundays in community, and serves as a model for our personal devotions. If you are visiting with us, please let us know you have joined us by sending us a message at info@cpcbarn.org.
Prayer Opportunities
We will be praying during the service as body and the worship leader will be praying for our general needs. If you desire to be prayed for or prayed with, please let us know via email at prayer@cpcbarn.org , messenger, or in our private Facebook group.

The Offering
There are around 50 “one another” commands in the Scriptures. They are clear that we are for one another; we support, encourage, pray, conflict, and cheer on one another. Nothing fundamental has changed about these commands. But, the style of how we do this has just changed dramatically!
Therefore, I need to ask that you let me know if something changes in your job or home situation (you can also tell a Deacon or an Elder), it does not need to become public knowledge but I want you to tell someone and then know they are praying for you. Also our Deacons will want to support you.

This means we need all of you to become online givers. All of what we do as a church continues, though it will look different. All of our missionaries will continue to need our support. All of our staff will continue to do their work helping us all flourish as followers of Christ. I know it is a big ask, but I need you to adjust your style if that style was dropping cash or a check in the soft wormy maple boxes.

Paul describes it this way at the end of his first letter to the Corinthians, and it fits both with our calling as Jesus Followers and this current moment when we cannot give in person, "But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you also are
to do. On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come. And when I arrive, I will send those whom you accredit by letter to carry your gift to Jerusalem.”

If you are unable to give at this time, I hope you contact us so that we can act like the church towards you by supporting you.
