Galatians 2:15-16 ESV
Being justified by God is to be declared right by him.
Justified by God:
1. It’s Harder than you think.
2. It’s Simpler than you think.
3. It’s more Freeing than you think.
Justified by God:
1. It’s Harder than you think.
You are not justified by your efforts.
You are not justified by your goodness.
You are not justified by your accomplishments.
2. It’s Simpler than you think.
· A person is justified by Faith in Christ alone.
o Faith is not a work.
o Faith is costly, but costs us nothing.
o Faith is a gift from God.
· A person is justified by the Faithfulness of Christ alone.
o Christ died to deliver us from our sins.
o It is not the quality of our faith or the quantity of our faith that saves us, but the object of our faith.
A person is justified only by looking to Christ, and receiving all that freely is given.
3. It’s more Freeing than you think.
· When you are justified, you become a child of God.
· When you know you are justified, you are freed from the burden of proving yourself.
· When your full life is considered, you are declared right in Christ.
