North Platte Berean Church
Can one person make a difference?
Clear vision is crucial for navigating the maze of life. But what if we don’t see as well as we think we do? How can we tell if we’re Seeing Clearly? The question, "Can we trust our own sight?" is one of several recurring themes in the Bible, which is pretty amazing when you consider it's a compilation of 66 literary works composed by around 40 different authors over about 1500 years! Over and over again, we see our perspective clashing with God’s, bringing up a choice: Whose sight will we trust more – His or ours?

This Week's Sermon: Can one person make a difference?
Don't get confused
How much does God need our help?
All analogies break down, but here's an image of how we are "helping" the Lord in his work. :)

Next Week's Sermon
Ever feel unsure how to pray or uncertain what to say to God? Or just like the whole concept of talking with Him is a struggle? So did Jesus’ early followers! When they asked Him to teach them, He responded with a concise yet powerful prayer commonly called “The Lord’s Prayer.”
Whether you grew up reciting this prayer or have never heard it before, all of us can find it emptied of its power for life and godliness…if we don’t seek a deep understanding of the rich truths it contains. Our new series (Prayer 101), starting next week, is an opportunity to internalize this prayer for ourselves and pray it – with understanding – back to God, our loving and gracious Father.
