21 Revelations is part of a genre of literature called Apocalyptic literature.

Apocalypse is the Greek word that means "revelation", an unveiling or unfolding of things not previously known and which could not be known apart from being unveiled by one who reveals these this to the one writing them down.

Revelation declares that God rules over the kingdoms of men and will accomplish His purposes regardless of human or demonic opposition.

Purpose of the Series: Experiencing God’s blessing in the middle of increasingly heated times

Only John’s gospel and Revelation refer to Jesus Christ as the Word (Revelation
19:13; John 1:1).

Only Revelation and the Gospel of John describe Jesus as the Lamb (Revelation 5:6,8; John 1:29)

Revelation was written in the last decade of the first century (ca. A.D. 94–96)

Revelations is party about the end times being revealed to us, but it’s more about Jesus being revealed to us!
