Peter's progression: As an exile...embrace the exiled lifestyle...therefore...set your hope on Christ!
"hope" - trust for the future
The reason hope in Christ is different than hope in any other object is because hope in Christ is based on a past event. It is not based on a future event, yet to occur.
To set your hope fully on Christ is to pursue:
1. Holy Thinking
2. Holy Living
