Servants and Stewards
This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.
1 Corinthians 4:1
Jesus is the Boss
- Jesus is the ultimate authority (Matthew 28:18, Ephesians 1:20-23)
- We serve a different Master than the world (Romans 6)
Biblical Stewardship
- The careful use, control, and management of the possessions of another that have been entrusted to one
- We are not the "owner"
- Stewardship is rewarded (Parables: Luke 12, Matthew 25)
Good Stewards reflect the Boss
- Our stewardship should point to Jesus
- We are given stewardship of the most important thing on earth
- We must freely give the gift that was freely given
When people see you, do they see Jesus?
