Acts 1:8 ESV
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Acts 6:2 NIV
So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, “It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables.
Acts 6:10 ESV
But they could not withstand the wisdom and the Spirit with which he was speaking.
Acts 7:54-60
Now when they heard these things they were enraged, and they ground their teeth at him. 55 But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. 56 And he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” 57 But they cried out with a loud voice and stopped their ears and rushed together at him. 58 Then they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul. 59 And as they were stoning Stephen, he called out, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 And falling to his knees he cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Acts 8:1
And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.

Conviction 1: God wants to use me.
Ephesians 4:11
And He gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers […].
Ephesians 4:12
[…] to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ […].
Leveraging yourself for the sharing of the Gospel is included in the call to follow Jesus.
“The only thing more remarkable than the repetition of the spread of the Gospel in the first century is its anonymity.” - Steven Neal
The Gospel spreads through ordinary people who know that their primary calling in life is to lead people to Jesus.
Conviction #2: The Holy Spirit fills me.
Jesus inside you, through the power of the Holy Spirit, is better than Jesus being beside you.
John 16:7
Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send Him to you.
Romans 8:11
The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you […].
Resurrection power lives on the inside of you, and with that knowledge should come a holy confidence.
