ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE WEEK
Sunday Morning Service:
This Sunday we will have the 8:30 AM service outdoors and the 10:30 AM service indoors with full worship.
We have made some changes to accommodate the changing weather and current gathering restrictions. I would like to break those down a little more:
8:30 AM Service:
We will be now offering FM broadcast of the service. We will be testing it for the first time this Sunday, but it will help us on those rainy days and extremely cold days to be able to allow you to stay in your cars while Robert preaches from the freezing and rain. We will also be reversing the direction of the set up this week. Robert will be preaching from the grassy area in case people want to stay in their cars.
10:30 AM Service: We will have a full worship experience inside the church on Sunday. Because of current restrictions, we are capped at allowing 79 people in the sanctuary. We have set up an overflow in the foyer in case we go over the 79 number. We can seat another 18 in the foyer and it will be projected on a large monitor. If you want to make sure you have a seat in the sanctuary, please come early. This week, the worship team will be leading us through Adore Him, The First Noel, Advent Hymn, and Jesus What a Wonderful Child. Robert's message will be on Love in the Darkness. He will be preaching from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. We will have Pre-K and K-5th available for the children through FriendshipKIDS.
If you are unable to join us, please watch on the website (www.fcbc.church), on our Facebook page, (https://www.facebook.com/Friendship.Community.Baptist) or on the FCBC YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbCD9taWEgpb37ZgTZWYgBw).
Christmas Eve Service Volunteers Needed:
The service is really starting to come together! If you would like to help out, there is still time to sign up. We could always use more people in the parking lot as well as people to hand out candles. We will have a full living nativity with animals, Voices in Praise choir, as well as Steve and the worship team. We will end each service with a candlelight singing of Silent Night. The services will be at 4pm, 5pm, and 6pm that evening. Please share this link (https://www.fcbc.church/christmas-eve-information) with all your friends, family, and coworkers as we are able to accommodate up to 250 people per service. Imagine giving the Gospel to 750 people on Christmas Eve!
We will need some help getting ready, though. Robert will be following up on Sunday, but we could use about 10-15 people to help us clear a path in one of the sea cans so that we can get out a lot of our Christmas Eve items. If you would consider hanging out for about 30-45 minutes after the second service, we could really use the help.
Operation Love Delivered:
Beginning January 13, Friendship will be providing food for 60 families at Tracey's Elementary and 7-8 families at Sunderland Elementary. This means that each week we need to prepare over 134 bags of food to deliver to each of the schools. Not only do we need help, but we need food! Mimi Noble is our ministry leader and if you would like to help pack and deliver food to the schools, please reach out to her at mnjesusfreak@gmail.com. If you would like to help us by getting food for Operation Love Delivered, Mimi has set up an Amazon WishList (click the below link) where you can purchase directly from Amazon and have it delivered to the church. You could also go to Sam's Club or Costco and get food from there as well. The important thing about it is that we need 67 portions of whatever is purchased before we can put it in a bag. We need food badly for this ministry to take off in the time frame that we have. If you would like to find a great place to support a local ministry, that is directly giving back to families in need in our community, this is a great choice.
