Hope against Hope

Hope against Hope

2020 has been both challenging and clarifying. From the global pandemic to political and racial tensions, it's increasingly clear: the things we tend to hope in can't bear the weight of our expectations and desires. Sports and fine arts activities, vacations, gathering with friends, funerals, graduations, and weddings have all been delayed or even cancelled. These losses can be devastating…or we can let disappointment remind us of the only Unshakable Hope – a hope that started before the foundation of time and lasts into the life to come. A hope that came into our sin-stained and hopeless world through a tiny baby named Jesus.

Next Week's Sermon

2020 has been a tough year for the word hope. In this final week of Advent, we’ll see still another way Jesus' incarnation brings hope – by coming as a human, he could represent us perfectly…and allow us to join His perfection through faith!
