Remaining Faithful

Remaining Faithful

On this final Sunday in 2020, we'll be exploring the critical nature of discipleship for the church of any age - but perhaps especially for our current situation. We'll investigate 2 Timothy 2:1-13 as we realize that discipleship is meant to be practiced by all followers of Jesus. We'll close out the year with a reminder about the essential nature of discipleship in the life of our church. Fancy programs, large facilities, complex strategies are not needed. Just a heart to pass along what we've learned to someone else coming along the path of faith.

This Week's Sermon: Remaining Faithful
What is faithfulness?
What does it look like for us to remain faithful to Jesus?
What is discipleship?
“A disciple is someone who knows and follows Christ, is being changed by Christ, and is committed to the mission of Christ."-Jim Putman
Paul -> Timothy -> Faithful men -> Others
Are we faithful?
Will we remain faithful...
Reflection Questions…
1. Do you want to be faithful to Jesus?
2. Do you want to pass on faithfulness?
3. Do we want to be a people of faithfulness?
"By 2022, through God's grace and power, we will see 2,000 people baptized and growing in relationship with Jesus through the Word, prayer, and community."

Talk It Over

Keep growing in your relationship with Jesus through the Word, prayer, and community!
• Reach out to a few people you already know – friends, coworkers, etc. – and find a time when you can connect each week. (Note: Due to the pandemic, we're recommending groups of 4-7.)

Next Week's Sermon

We'll be launching a new year and a new series - Seeing Clearly! Some of the biggest questions our culture is asking currently revolve around knowing truth. How do we know truth? Who is the ultimate decider of truth? Is truth merely from my perspective or is there something larger? We'll examine these questions and we experience is the challenge of how to respond when we "see" differently than God. Whose vision will we trust? How will we think and act when our understanding contradicts what God has said? How can we root ourselves in God's sight rather than our own? How can we know truth?
