TUESDAY: Advent
Reading: Luke 1:5-14
Prayer: Lord, Your plans for humankind are too vast and too wise to comprehend, but You are trustworthy and faithful. You know my heart and the things that I desire—help me to trust You to fulfill YOUR dreams for me in Your timing and in Your way, even when it seems impossible. Help me to be faithful like Zechariah and Elizabeth, that I too might see Your plans revealed in my life.

WEDNESDAY: Advent
Reading: Luke 1:15-25
Prayer: It seems sometimes that I'm not hearing You or seeing You at work, but today, I choose to trust and know that my honor depends on You. You are working, and I'm believing You to help me trust You more and to be obedient to Your Word. Give me strength when I am weak, and faith for when I doubt. I love You, Lord!

THURSDAY: Advent
Reading: Luke 1:26-38
Prayer: While I would never make comparisons to Mary's situation, I pray that I would be a person that You could call upon to do something that seems well beyond my abilities. Develop in me the character to obey purely, and the courage to answer, "I am the Lord's servant. May Your word to me be fulfilled." Forgive my moments of worry and unbelief.

FRIDAY: Advent
Reading: Luke 1:39-45
Prayer: Lord, while this passage is short, I'm reminded that You have given others that I can walk with in the faith journey, and that their is joy in following You. Help me to be that person the affirms the Lord's work in others today. Forgive me for times when I've gotten stuck in my own story and forgotten there is a bigger picture being created by Your hand. I love You and Your infinite wisdom.
