Biblical prophecy is history accurately told in advance of its occurrence.
Matthew 1:22
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet…

Matthew 2:13
This was to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet...

Matthew 2:17
Then was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Jeremiah…

Matthew 2:23
…so that what was spoken by the prophets might be fulfilled

Matthew 1:18
This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 1:19
Joseph, to whom she was engaged, was a righteous man and did not want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to break the engagement quietly.

(1) God’s PROMISES are given to combat our fears (1:20)

Matthew 1:20
As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, “do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 1:22-23
22 All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet:
23 Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’”

5 Things we Fear:

1-When you fear NOT BEING IN CONTROL, trust the promise: Isaiah 46:9-10
2-When you fear what OTHERS THINK OF YOU, trust the promise: Hebrews 13:5-6
3-When you fear THE WORST, trust the promise: Psalm 84:10-11
4-When you fear CONDEMNATION, trust the promise: Romans 8:1
5- When you fear DEATH, trust the promise: Romans 8:38
(2) God’s PLAN compensates for the fact that we cannot save ourselves (1:21)
(3) God’s INTENTION is that he would be with us forever (1:21)
