I. Drawing Health and Healing from the Holy Spirit
Ephesians 6:17(NKJV)take the …the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
PRINCIPLE 1: The Sword of the Spirit has the Authority to Bring God’s Power and Presence into every Area of Our Lives!
A. There is Life and Virtue in God’s Word
Hebrews 4:12(NKJV)For the word of God , piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
B. The Healing Virtue of God’s Word
Psalm 107:20(NKJV)He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.
PRINCIPLE 2: God does Not want Us to Live Our life Oppressed by Sin or Sickness; Health and Healing are just as much a Part of Salvation as the Forgiveness of Sin!
C. God’s Word is Health and Life
Proverbs 4:20–22(NKJV)20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; 22For they
Proverbs 4:20-22(TPT)20 Listen carefully, my dear child, to everything that I teach you, and pay attention to all that I have to say.21 Fill your thoughts with my words until they penetrate deep into your spirit. 22 Then, as you unwrap my words, they will impart true life and radiant health into the very core of your being.
D. A Prophetic Picture of Jesus Atonement
PRINCIPLE 3: Jesus’ Atonement not only Provides the Forgiveness of Our Sin, but also Healing for Our Bodies. Healing for Our Bodies is Just as Much a Part of Jesus’ Atonement as the Forgiveness of Our Sin.
DEFINE: Atonement - Reparation for Mankind’s Wrong; Jesus made Amends and Restitution for Us.
Isaiah 53:4–5(NKJV)4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He
NOTE: Isaiah 53 is a Prophetic Psalm that gives Us One of the Clearest Depictions of what Jesus Purchased for Us through His Death on the Cross; Forgiveness and Healing is Ours through the Blood of Jesus!
II. God’s Will is for Us to Live in Health
3 John 2(NKJV) Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
PRINCIPLE 4: Sickness is Abnormal and not From God;Jesus’ Death on the Cross made Amends and Restitution for the Sin that Separated Mankind from God and the Oppressive Power of Sickness.
A. Jesus Healed All Who were Sick
Matthew 8:14–17(NKJV)14 Now when Jesus had come into Peter’s house, He saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever. 15 So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them. 16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, andhealed all who were sick, 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
PRINCIPLE 5: Jesus Purchased Healing on the Cross for Everyone; Matthew 8:16 - 17 is the Messianic Fulfillment of the Prophesy in Isaiah 53:4-5.
B. Our Heavenly Father Made Provision to Heal Us before We were Sick!
1 Peter 2:24(NKJV)Jesus that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
NOTE: The Word “Were” in 1 Peter 2:24 implies Past Tense, and is used to Express the Continual Tense of Healing; Our Healing has Occurred and Already Exist.
III. Faith in the Finished Work of the Cross
A. Jesus Died for the Sins of the Whole World

PRINCIPLE 6: If Someone is Sick Right Now, it does not Mean that They have Done Something Wrong and that God is Mad at Them or does not Love Them; God Loves Them and through the Atonement, They have Access to Healing.
B. Faith Gives Us Access to Forgiveness and Healing
Romans 5:1–2(NIV) Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
DEFINE: Access - (Admission) A Price Paid for Us to have the Right or Opportunity to Benefit from Something.
Ephesians 2:8–9(NKJV)For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
PRINCIPLE 7: Faith Gives Us Access to Forgiveness and Healing. Jesus Paid the Admission Price through His Atonement that Gives Us the Right to be Forgiven and Healed.
