REVIVE CHRISTIAN CHURCH
For centuries, people around the world have asked, “Does God see us? Can He help us through this nerve-racking time?” From cover to cover, the Bible testifies to this fact: God will judge and punish all evil. At times, however, it may appear that evil prospers and wickedness prevails. Evildoers have been battling the church all throughout its existence. Yet in contrast, God’s church has been and will continue to be sustained by the grace of God. Believers should build one another up in Christ and keep themselves in the love of God. The church is to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. The gospel message is irrevocable and true. The faithful transmission of the gospel message from one generation to the next is at the heart of the mission of God’s people, and lives are changed everywhere the gospel message is proclaimed. The mercy of God protects those who truly know Christ and sustains them in the gospel message and faithful obedience in the face of outward hostility. Jesus keeps His people from stumbling and will present them faultless one day. Comfort can be found during all of life’s greatest challenges, and there is no better time than right now to seek refuge and find shelter in God. Finding refuge in God is always our safest place. God offers hope in times of uncertainty and relief to people who are experiencing real troubles and fear. The church must persevere, knowing that nothing they face in this world can take away the hope they have in Christ. Truth will prevail. Deception and hypocrisy will be exposed, and will be judged––in God’s time and in God’s way. And the true church will be sustained by the grace of God. Join us Sundays at 10a for Revive Online at https://www.facebook.com/revivebismarck as we lean in together to find ways to worship in times of trouble, experience prayer in pressure, show grace when we are at our wits’ end, and with God’s help, triumph over trouble.

This Sunday, November 29th, we are partnering with North Dakota National Guard Family Services in assembling Christmas gift bags for families of deployed NDNG members. Families at home are in need of love and encouragement, especially during the holidays when they are missing their loved ones. The gift bags will be distributed among families throughout Burleigh-, Morton- and other neighboring counties.

We are inviting you to donate the types of things you might expect as stocking stuffer-type gifts (candy, cookies, small toys + games, etc. However, please avoid food items containing nuts.)

Revive will provide the gift bags, while we encourage you to provide notes / cards of love + encouragement and pictures colored by our littlest members. You can use your own coloring sheets, or find some here: http://bit.ly/revivekidsonline.

Candy and other things are nice, but families love knowing their neighbors see that they serve and sacrifice too. Thank you for helping us LIVE OUT LOVE!

Drop-offs or pick-ups of your donations may be scheduled by appointment, and our Team will packing the gift bags this Sunday. E-mail us at hello@revivebismarck.org to schedule your drop-off or to have a Team Member come pick up your donation.

Any inquiries may be directed to Dawna Hagerott at (701) 400-1299.

One act of thanksgiving, when things go wrong with us, is worth a thousand thanks when things are agreeable to our inclinations.
// SAINT JOHN OF AVILA

• Joy increases as we express our gratitude. There is a direct relationship between gratitude and joy, as well as between gratitude and time.

All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you.
// GANDALF, THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING

• Look for the gifts God gives and you will find peace, hope and joy.

There is a birth from God before the ages, and a birth from a virgin at the fullness of time. There is a hidden coming, like that of rain on fleece, and a coming before all eyes, still in the future.
// ST. CYRIL OF JERUSALEM
WEEK EIGHT PRAYER
NOVEMBER 29TH thru DECEMBER 5TH

...you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
— 1 PETER 2:5

Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed.
— HEBREWS 12:12-13

Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.
— HEBREWS 13:15

THE PRAISE
Living God, we humbly come before You in confidence, knowing You are a merciful and loving Father who hears our prayers from Heaven. We unite before You as the Church, a spiritual house of “living stones,” a “holy priesthood.”

In the midst of this pandemic, we bring You our sacrifice of praise. We thank You for mitigating the effects of COVID-19. We realize that without Your divine intervention and protection, the devastation wrought by this disease would be far greater. We are thankful today that what is impossible with man is possible with You.

Lord, today, we choose to praise You!

In the face of pressure, panic, and pain, we choose to look beyond our circumstances and lift our hands to You. Comfort us in our weakness. Lift us up into Your presence as we worship Your Holy Name.

Lord, today, we choose to praise You!

Your Church unites to lift up sacrifices of praise. We are confident our world will experience a fresh outpouring of Your divine presence and love. This will result in the conversion of untold millions. You, and You alone, are worthy of our honor and worship.

Lord, today, we choose to praise You!

THIS WE PRAY AND COMMIT IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. AMEN.
