Discussion Questions
1. Read Acts 18:1-4. What do you think an average week looked like for the apostle Paul during this season? Where did he spend the majority of his time? Where did his primary public ministry take place in this season? (Hint: vs. 4)
2. How can we apply Paul, Aquila and Priscilla’s work schedule and ministry commitment to our own life?
3. Read Acts 18:5-8. Consider the rejection Paul faced in the synagogues. What was his response to rejection? How did this fuel his future success in ministry?
4. Read 1 Corinthians 3:6-9. Consider the partnership of Paul with Apollos and with Aquila & Priscilla. Who is doing the actual work of the ministry according to 1 Corinthians 3:7? What does this mean for us? How might this take pressure off of our own skill and ability as we seek to become Church Partners?
5. Can you think of someone in our church that is a good example of a church partner? Someone who is investing in the mission of the church in a meaningful way (someone who is not on church staff).
