1. Christians of all ages…

1. Christians of all ages, stages, and stations of life need to be Christlike.
hey
For Reflection/Discussion: Who are the various groups addressed in today's text? With which, if any, do you most closely identify? What are some of the contributions that people in each group might make to the Body of Christ? What are some of the temptations to which people in each of these groups seem to be susceptible? What ideas, if any, seem outdated to you? Some people believe that texts like Titus 2 promote the subjugation of women or the institution of slavery. Do you agree? Why or why not? Is Titus 2:9-10 an endorsement of slavery or simply a recognition of slavery? In what ways was slavery in the Greco-Roman world very different from slavery as practiced in ante-bellum America?

2. Use your God-given…

2. Use your God-given wisdom and experience to guide and encourage others.
hey
For Reflection/Discussion: What lessons have you learned in your experience as a Christian that might be helpful or encouraging to someone who is just starting out as a follower of Christ? Do you have an older, more mature Christian who is helping you grow in your faith? If not, why not? Are you helping, encouraging, or mentoring a younger believer? If not, why not? How can participation in a Growth Group give us opportunities to teach and to learn from other believers? What are the advantages and disadvantages of being in a Growth Group of all men, all women, or people of just one age group?

3. How we live…

3. How we live our lives will bring either honor or dishonor to Christ and his Church.
Christians— no matter what their role— are called to be Christlike.
For Reflection/Discussion: In what ways have church scandals done damage to the Christian faith? Why is it important for Christians to live exemplary lives that are characterized by integrity and Christlikeness? Is your life bringing honor to Christ and his church? Are there ways that you might better your life in order to bring greater honor to Christ?
