For Reflection/Discussion:
On a scale of 1-10 how do you handle change in your life?
Does change excite you or make you anxious?
Name a change in your life that surprised you. Name a change in your life that you knew was going to happen.
What is something that is changing in your life right now?
How have you reacted to this specific change?
Look back on a time you went through a season of change. What were some positive outcomes from that change? Did you see God's hand at work in your life through that change?

Keys to Handling Life's Transitions

Tips for surviving and thriving through difficult times.

1. God goes ahead of us and leads us.

For Reflection/Discussion:
Have you ever ignored the directions from your GPS? How did that work out for you?
Have you ever sought out God's voice and asked God to take the lead in your life? What did
Think of a time when you chose to follow God. What was that experience like? Is your life better today because you made the decision to follow God?
Moses told the people they didn't need to be afraid because God was going ahead of them. Does it bring you comfort to know that God goes ahead of you? Why or why not?

2. God is with you.
For Reflection/Discussion:
Have you ever felt out of control? Maybe at work or in a relationship or in your home?
Describe your mental state when you felt out of control. How did you manage your feelings during that time?
What helped you stay grounded during that time?
God promises to be with you. God does not promise to remove all obstacles from your life. What is the difference between those two?
3. God is already at work in you and in the world.
For Reflection/Discussion:
Agree or disagree- Without change we live on autopilot. Why do you agree or disagree with that statement?
God invites you to join him in his work. What does that look like in your life?
Remember a time in your life when God was constant and faithful. Spend time thanking God for being there for you.
