Faith Hears. Faith comes to us by hearing and without faith, a relationship with God is not possible. The truth is, we all can hear God’s voice, we just need to learn what it sounds like.
CONNECT IN CONVERSATION. [Conversation starters for your group.]
• Who is one person (not your significant other) you can instantly recognize their voice?
• What is one sound you always can recognize?
CONNECT TO THE WORD. [Read it and talk it out.]
• Read Hebrews 11:6 & Romans 10:6. What makes faith so important to our relationship with Jesus?
• According to Hebrews 4:12, Scripture distinguishes between our preferences and God’s purposes. What are some general examples where this truth could be applied?
CONNECT WITH OTHERS. [Questions that create openness.]
• Faith hears God’s voice. What are some possible reasons people might not hear God’s voice?
• Pastor shared how God speaks through Scripture, Prompts, People, Pictures, and Seasons. Have you experienced any of these? Is there one you experience most often?
• If we want to hear God’s voice, we may need to turn down some other voices. What other “voices” do you need to turn down?

God, we want our faith to grow strong. May we turn down the volume of the other voices in our life. Give us ears to hear you speak to us. You love us and want to speak to each of us. We long to grow closer in our relationship with You. As we draw near to You, You draw close to us! Amen.
