Sermon Notes

Called Out

We know Jesus’ call is to go ____, however, most of our activity happens by calling people ______.

Jesus’ first call to be a disciple happens not in a synagogue but on a Galilean
shoreline.

He sees Peter & Andrew & says, “Follow me, and I will send you out to fish for people.”

The Church must think differently about what it means to share the Good News
of Christ.

Churches that ______ people will eclipse churches that _______ them.

Matt.4 is about Jesus calling the disciples to partner with him.

There is a reason the first calling of disciples were fishermen.

Fishermen must go out to where the fish are.

They don’t wait for them to come to them.

Who in our communities may be among the hungry or broken?

Churches that ________ people will eclipse churches that _______ them.

**************IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF YOU!****************

Thank You!

I want to share how proud I am of the churches in the South Central District. We have been up consistently in apportionment giving each month compared to this time last year. I rejoice most in the knowledge that this means you are being faithful to the ministries in your local church during this difficult time. As a matter of fact, many pastors and laity have said that the church finances are actually better than pre-pandemic. Thank you for all you do to support kingdom work locally and beyond!
Blessings,
Rev. Paula Lewis
