How many of us, if we were asked, would say we feel like we have life figured out?
True wisdom is more visible than verbal.
If the real condition of our hearts is full of jealousy and selfishness we couldn’t be further from the true wisdom of God and the life He has for us.
Living with a driving desire to serve and please yourself may have the appearance of some kind of wisdom but it is not the wisdom of God
The danger of living life with an ultimate desire to please yourself is that it is the one sure way to never find the satisfaction, contentment, peace and joy you may believe is found by living this way.
Living life by God’s wisdom leads very different experience of life. Instead of instability and evil it is a life marked by every kind of good
The ones who live in and promote the kingdom of God sow the seeds of this new life in peace and they will see righteousness advance peacefully and spread far and wide.
Life with God doesn’t avoid hardship and pain. It is, however, a life that allows us to have all the qualities James described even when pain, suffering, sadness or hardship comes our way.
Satan most often attacks when we are most vulnerable- when life has gotten hard and we are most prone to believe the lies He tells us.
We resist Satan by refusing the temptation to believe His lies.
Linger longer with Jesus in the Gospels when life leaves you most vulnerable to Satan’s lies
Christianity is not about inviting Jesus into our lives. Christianity is about Jesus inviting us into His. We need truth to stay there.
