Discussion Questions
1. Read Acts 15:36-41, when Paul and Barnabas split up. Can you understand the motives of either Paul or Barnabas? Were either of them wrong or justified? Why or why not?
2. Read Acts 16:1-5. Why did Paul circumcise Timothy, a Greek convert, right after the Jerusalem Council determined that Greek converts did not need to be circumcised in order to follow Jesus?
3. Do you feel anxious about the immediate future? What would it look like for you to fix your perspective on your forever future?
4. What are some of the unresolved "whats" in your life? (The circumstances that you wish were different, the solutions to problems that you're praying for, etc.) Discuss the importance of praising the "Who" regardless of the "what".
5. Discuss events or seasons that have felt or currently feel like detours in your plans. How do you see God accomplishing his purposes through these detours?
