Canon means “measuring stick.” The Canon is the officially accepted list of books that make up the Bible

The history of the Bible
AD 1382 - John Wycliffe translated the Bible into English
AD 1517 - Martin Luther wrote his 95 theses. God used his 95 theses to spark the reformation of the protestant church.
AD 1440 - The printing press was invented by Johann Gutenberg. The first book ever printed was the Bible
AD 1526 - The Bible was printed in English, with help from William Tyndale. Tyndale’s last words, "Lord, open the king of England’s eyes.” Three years later God answered that prayer. The King of England allowed the printing of the Bible in English and helped to fund it
