Talent Management
Life Management - The Three T’s of Stewardship Biblical stewardship begins with understanding that all that we have is a gift from God and that our call is to be good stewards or managers of these things. Traditionally stewardship has been broken down into three general areas of life, often spoken of at the three “T’s” time, talent and treasure. This series will address our call to be good managers/stewards of our lives in these three areas. “Talent Management” - Everyone has been given gifts and talents from God and we are called to use these gifts and talents, not just to benefit ourselves, but to serve God and one another.

Biblical stewardship begins with the understanding that everything we are and everything we have is a gift from God.
This means stewardship is a spiritual thing because it’s about God’s hand at work in all we are and all we have and how we use those things.
Today our focus will be on the second T, Managing our Talents, this T refers to the special talents, abilities, and spiritual gifts that God has given to each of us.
God gives natural talents and abilities to all people. But then, on top of that, God also gives spiritual gifts. All of these things are blessings, they are all gifts from God, and so we’re called to be good stewards of them.
There are different gifts given to different people for different reasons, but they’re all important and they're all from God
We’ve each been gifted, “for the common good.” That means that the gifts and talents given to us by God aren’t given to us to puff our egos or solely for our personal use, we’re also called to use them for good of others, of the church, and for the glory of God.
So, you are gifted and talented! Is that how you think of yourself? God has made you unique and special in that way.

Now, if you’re thinking, “not me. I don’t have any gifts or talents” you’re mistaken. You probably just haven’t discovered what your gifts and talents are.
There is something beautiful about seeing people perform a task well because they’re gifted or talented at it.
All of those gifts that we each have are needed to build up the church and accomplish God’s will in this world. Is that how you think of yourself?
Before we go asking God for this and that, we should stir what we’ve got, because God may have already given us what we need right here if we will only put our gifts and talents to work for his glory. Because the truth is sometimes we don’t, we hold back for any number of reasons.
Peter reminds us very specifically here that using our gift for God’s glory is a part of the stewardship of our lives.
If your gift is speaking, then use it for God.
If your gift is to serve do that.
Go serve with the strength God provides, lean on him to empower you!
Superpowers would be cool, the power to do miraculous things from God would be great, but most of the time those are not the things we truly need. More often we need people to teach and encourage and care for us. And my guess is that most of the gifts in this family of faith fall into that category.
1. Seek to Know Your Gifts, but also seek to know yourself.
2. Use Your Gifts and Talents to glorify God!
3. Develop Your Gifts and Talents.
5. Guard Your Heart Against Pride
We need to use our gifts and talents. And if we do, who knows what great things God can use them to accomplish!

I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness into Your glorious day
You called my name (and) I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness into Your glorious day
Now Your mercy has saved my soul
Now Your freedom is all that I know
The old made new Jesus when I met You
I needed rescue my sin was heavy
But chains break at the weight of Your glory
I needed shelter I was an orphan
Now You call me a citizen of Heaven
When I was broken You were my healing
Now Your love is the air that I'm breathing
