Review what has happened in Nehemiah 1-2 so far.
On a scale of 1(not scared) to 10(wetting your pants) how scared would you be to go lead the renovation of an entire city?
Read Nehemiah 2:11-18
Why do you think Nehemiah went to survey the walls and gates at night?Why do you think he went alone?
In verse 18 Nehemiah says that God’s gracious hand had been on him. How had that been the case?
Why would that be an encouragement to the people of Jerusalem?
How has God been with you in the past?
How should that be an encouragement now?
How would the world around you define success?
How easy is it for you to fall into the world’s understanding of success?
God defines success as faithfulness to Him and His plan. Is that easy for you to understand?
How was Nehemiah faithful?
How was Jesus faithful?
How was Jesus successful in ways that the world just doesn’t understand? What are the small and big ways God is calling you to be faithful right now?
