Prayer
Father, I come to worship you in my giving.
I acknowledge your blessing IN my life
And your care OF my life.
This is my offering. These are my tithes.
I give today because I trust you completely
With all of my life.
May you supply all my needs
In the days that are ahead.
And may you use my gift to build your Kingdom
And supply the needs of your church.
Amen.
We’ve been talking about what to do when you face a season of uncertainty, when life’s storms seem to be just about to blow you apart; everything in life is shaking and rattling and threatening to tear you to bits. How can we live unshakable? What tools does God give us in these moments to help us stand when the storm wants to blow you over? TODAY, we want to talk about PRAISE.
Come on Paul? Rejoice always? Under all circumstances? Really, Paul? Has there ever been a time when you've struggled to give God praise?
How can you give praise, celebrate when all this overwhelmingly bad stuff is happening? It all depends on your perspective. Perspective very simply means how you see something.
The word perceive from which we get the word perspective in the Latin, actually means, “to look through.” What are you looking through when you view your uncertainty, your storm? Are you looking through the lens of fear and anxiety or are you looking through the lens of praise? It's all about perspective.
Fear & Anxiety Perspective Bible: Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me really stinks. God let me down. I am overwhelmed with anxiety, depression, and hopelessness. Because of the hades I’ve been through, I’m quitting my Community Group and never going back to church again. Philippians 1:12-14
You can look at the very same situation and say, this is bad, this is horrible, I can't stand this, or you could have a perspective of praise and rejoice in the Lord always.
They weren't praising God at this moment for the what; they were just praising Him for the who.
People will either hear you complain in your storm or people will hear you praise. Either way, you are an influence — either for the enemy or for God.
I believe today we an choose to praise God and rather than see what’s happening around us from the perspective of fear and anxiety, we can see it all through the perspective of praise. We can rejoice in the Lord no matter what’s happening. We can praise Him for who He is. We can let Him use us and what we’re going through to make an impact on the lives of others. But we need to wholly lean on Jesus name. We need to rest in his unchanging grace. We need to make Him our all, my hope and stay.

Are you willing to change your perspective today? To see your life through the perspective of praise?
