As wickedness on earth increases God takes notice and so should we.
Note these two phrases:
1. As it was - the Lord’s regret
2. As it is - the Lord’s favor
In the world of Noah’s day, we see rampant disregard of God which leads to unbridled selfishness, resulting in unbridled sin.
BUSINESS AS USUAL in a Godless age. Usual business without any concern for God.
I. As it was:
1. Rapid rise in population.
2. An Abuse of Marriage.
3. End to God’s Patience.
4. An Abundance of Charismatic, Corrupt Leaders.
5. A Headlong Rush into Evil.
6. A Shocking Judgment From Heaven.
Noah Found Favor!
II: So, it is:
1. People were completely unprepared for God’s judgment.
2. Widespread moral perversion propelled by the breakdown of the family.
3. A sharp rise in Satanic activity and interest in the occult.
4. A loss of trust in leadership.
5. Rejection of God’s authority in the name of “progress.”
6.Believers standalone against the world.
