Purpose - greater reason than what the human mind can comprehend. Through His purpose He is revealed in our lives — His glory!
Defining Moments are:
- the point at which the essential character or nature of a person or group is revealed or identified
- often gift wrapped in disappointments, setbacks and rejection
- Able to shape our perceptions and influence our behaviors
God uses the defining moments of our lives to remind us that He is committed to bringing to reality everything He has promised for our lives.
Defining Moments are the Entry Points to:
- Our Promise (from God)
- Our Process (for you)
- Our Promotion (for others)
It’s the lessons you learn in the process that cause you to come out seasoned for the promise and ready for promotion

Why the Wilderness?
- It’s in the barren places of our lives that God desires to produce the most fruit
- The Wilderness (barren place) was a straight line to his destiny (Jerusalem)
- The wilderness, on one hand, represents chaos and a place that is uninhabitable. On the other hand, the wilderness is symbolic of the picture of creation found in Genesis 1 (without form and void) waiting for God’s voice to give life and direction.
Satan comes to shortcut your wilderness, undercut your progress, and prolong you walking in your destiny

1. What is the Purpose of this Moment?
2. Where is the Provision in this Moment?
3. How Much Patience is Required For This Moment?
What is the Purpose of Defining Moments?
To allow our character to Become transformed into the image of Christ
