Israel dies at age 147
Israel has Joseph swear to bury him in the cave of Machpelah
Chapter 50
Egyptians embalm Israel
Egyptians mourn 70 days
Joseph & family go to bury Israel – children & flocks left behind
Family mourns an additional 7 days
Brothers tell Joseph “Dad said to forgive us”
Joseph “you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good”
Joseph dies
