LIFE CONNECT QUESTIONS
Want to talk it over and connect this message to your everyday life? Good, us to! Change happens when we apply what learn and share it within community. Answer these questions so you can share with your Connect Group or talk it over with a personal friend.

Pet Peeves. We all have things that irk us or add to annoyance. While many are harmless, some tend to go against our morality and can cause personal damage within relationships. How can we avoid driving wedges in relationships and grow in personal connection?

CONNECT IN CONVERSATION. [Conversation starters for your group.]
• Which is worse, chewing loudly or leaving dishes on sink when dishwasher is empty?
• What is one of your pet peeves?

CONNECT TO THE WORD. [Read it and talk it out.]
• Read Proverbs 6:16-19. Why do you think God is so strongly against these?
• Read Galatians 5:22-23. How are these fruits the antidote to the 7 things God hates?

CONNECT WITH OTHERS. [Questions that create openness.]
• At what point does something petty become a personal hindrance to a relationship?
• Pastor Matthew said that God describes these seven traits as “anti-God.” How can this help develop our character?
• Do you tend to display one of the seven traits listed in Proverbs 6? What is one thing you can do to adjust?

CONNECT TO LIFE.
Which one Of the following will you do this week?
• Make a confession card with the following statement, filling in the blanks: “I will no longer be ________ (one of the seven) and I choose to be ________ (Fruit of the Spirit).”
• Ask God is there is a relationship you need to repair, apologizing for the divide.

CONNECT IN PRAYER.
God, we don’t want to hurt your heart, but realize our actions often move us away from you. We want to be good reflections of Your character. May we live surrendered to You and may Your fruit grow and develop in us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
