Recap: Spiritual heart disease can keep us from our best life. Blockage caused by guilt, anger, greed and jealousy can squeeze the life out of us and our relationships. In this message we looked at how anger can destroy our heart and how we need to deal with the source of that anger. The good news is that there is a remedy to anger a process that you can take in order to free you from anger and move you toward your best life. But you have to choose to embrace the remedy.

GROUP QUESTIONS
(1) Have you ever "followed your heart" and it ended badly? What happened?
(2) What gets you angry? In the message we said "we need to deal with the source of the problem, not just the symptoms". What's the source of that anger?
(3) In the message we said "Hurt people, hurt people". Do you think that's true? If that's true, does that affect how you should see people?
(4) Anger says "you owe me". You think about your own anger, who do you feel "owes you"?
(5) We need to trust God's heart and Word when it comes to dealing with our anger, and He's given us a remedy for our anger - forgiveness. Does this concept bother you? Why or why not?
(6) Read Ephesians 4:31-32. What does this verse say we need to do with our anger? How? What does verse 32 say about our own sin and what that means when it comes to forgiving others?
(7) Whose debt do you need to cancel? They might not "deserve" it, but you need to make a choice that they don't owe you anymore. Are you willing to do that? Read James 1:19-20. What do these verses say about being unwilling to get rid of our anger and unforgiveness?
(8) Read through the Process for how to complete the cycle of forgiveness below. Take some time to really deal with it this week. It is one of the key ways to heal your heart from spiritual heart disease and experience your best life.
PROCESS FOR HOW TO COMPLETE CYCLE OF FORGIVENESS
1. Identify who you're truly angry with. Make a list.
2. Determine what they owe you. What's been taken? Name it.
3. Cancel the debt. (You can use the prayer below)
4. Dismiss the case. Make a daily decision not to reopen the case.

PRAYER TO CANCEL THE DEBT
Heavenly Father, __________ has taken ___________ from me. I have held onto this debt long enough. I choose to cancel the debt. ____________ doesn't owe me anymore. Just as you forgave me, I forgive ______________.
