Genesis 12:1-2 (NIV)
The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I WILL show you. I WILL make you into a great nation, and I WILL bless you; I WILLmake your name great, and YOU WILL be a blessing.”
Here’s the thing, if we’re going to walk out our God ordained “I Will” then we’ve got to get in agreement with God’s leading. This doesn’t mean neglecting your career path, your dream or vision you have for your life. It does mean, that as child of God, He wants to be the one that has the lead in your life. That’s where His “I Will’s” are at.
Genesis 18:14
“Is anything too hard for the Lord?”
James writes, and the scripture was fulfilled, Abraham believed God, and was called the Friend of God.
Galatians 3:9 (NLT)
So all who put their faith in Christ share the same blessing Abraham received because of his faith.
Something I’ve discovered over the years that a lot of Christians fail to see is that faith not only enables us to move mountains, it also keeps mountains from moving us.
A true life of faith takes on the mindset; I’m going to trust God with every aspect of my life. To the degree that I’ll be willing to let God disrupt my routine.
God wants us completely dependent on Him.
Genesis 22:1 (NKJV)
Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham.

Genesis 22:13-14 (NKJV)
Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son. And Abraham called the name of the place, The- LORD-Will-Provide.
A recent survey showed that 85% of Americans say they believe in God, but of that group, only 15% confess to practice their Christianity.

I’m convinced that the majority of that 85% have been sucked into the whole, chasing the “American Dream” instead of their God ordained dream.
What would he say to us today?
How did we drift this far away from the God of Abraham?
Did what God warned us about in Deuteronomy happen to our nation?
Deuteronomy 8:10-11 (NKJV)
When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land which He has given you. Beware that you do not forget the LORD your God.
I can’t help but wonder how many times our self-deserving, self-vindicating, self-righteous attitude is the very thing that stops God from working in our lives.
In Paul’s letter in Colossians he reminds us to make sure no one takes you captive with empty, deceptive philosophy that come from human thinking and traditions from this evil world. But in Christ you will be complete in Him.
If we’re going to walk out our God ordained “I Will” then we’ve got to get in agreement with God’s leading.
2 Chronicles 16:9 (NKJV)
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.
All God is looking for is a genuine decision of faith.
Galatians 5:4 (MSG)
I suspect you would never intend this, but this is what happens. When you attempt to live by your own religious plans and projects, you are cut off from Christ, you fall out of grace.
Regardless of where any of us are currently in our walk with God, He has “I Will’s” waiting for us on the other side of our total surrender to Him.
