Share a story about something you planted from a seed, and how it grew well or didn't grow well.

Discuss (choose one or two for your group)

- Who is someone that has planted good words in your life, and how did those words affect you?

- What does it mean to be a difference maker?

- People's words can produce good fruit in others' lives, like courage, hope, or comfort. What are some other types of good fruit that could be produced?

- How can people have their hearts filled with good seeds, ready to give away?

Big Idea

We can make a difference with our words. When God’s Word fills our hearts, it becomes the source for the words we speak. (Luke 6:43-45, Luke 8:11-15)

Engage

Which step should you lean into this week to build up your heart: 1) hear God’s word, 2) receive it or 3) apply it? What specifically would that look like in an action step?
