Stewards of God's Gifts of Grace [July 29, 2018] Greg Burlile

1 Peter 4:7-11 ESV

Spiritual Gift: Any gift or ability empowered by the Holy Spirit

Every believer has at least one. (vs 10)

There are 5 lists of gifts…none are identical (Romans 12:6-8; 1 Cor 12:7-11; 28-30; Eph4:11; 1 Peter 4:10)

*Your spiritual gift is for is not for your benefit.
*It is for serving others in the church. (vs 10)
*It is one way you show your love for others in your church family.

*Using your spiritual gift(s) within the church family is an issue of stewardship. (vs 10)
A Steward = a person responsible to take care of something
*To be a good steward of your gift(s) you need to be committed and involved.

*Those with speaking gifts should be careful to speak in accordance with God’s Word (vs 11)
*Those with serving gifts should serve in God’s strength
*When we use our gifts this way, God is glorified
