I AM determines who we are.

John 17:20-26

1) Jesus is praying for you and me!
2) Unity in the body of Christ that reflects the unity of the Father and the Son

John 17:21a that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you….
3) We remain "in” God.

John 17:21b that they also may be in us…
4) Our unity is a critical element of our witness to the world.

John 17:21c that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

5) In a sense, Jesus has given to us the glory the Father gave to him.

John 17:22a The glory that you have given me I have given to them…
6) We get to be where Jesus is and see Him in all his glory.

John 17:24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
7) We know the Father because of the Son.

John 17:25-26a O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known,
8)We carry the love of God inside of us.

John 17: 26b that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
