Nehemiah felt a Burden!

Two kinds of Burdens

•Loads – Weight to carry that can cause us to become weary

•Some we make, some life makes & some others make and they give them to us!

•Good news – 1 Peter 5:7 & Hebrews 4:14-16

•Leadings – Spiritual calling to prompt us to get involved in God’s work

•Always moves us out of our comfort zone

•Always is bigger than we can achieve on our own

•Always requires Prayer, Waiting & Working

Some people see things the way they are and say, “Why”?

God is looking for those who see things the way they could be and say, “Why not”!

Prayer – Nehemiah prayed 17 prayers in these 13 Chapters

•Enables us to leave the situation in God’s hands – Nehemiah 2:4

•Never take ownership of what belongs to God!

•Clears our Vision – Reveals God’s perspective

•Quiets our Heart – Reduces worry & increases peace

•Ignites our Faith – This can be done through God’s strength

Waiting – Nehemiah carried the burden for months, prayed for days, kept the vision hidden for 3 days even after he arrived.

•Waiting is not Wasting – Isaiah 40:31

•It is the place God gives strategy & strength

•It is the time God gets everything in order for success

Working – The wall was built in 52 days because the people had a mind to work! – Nehemiah 4:6

•It’s in the Working phase where the greatest opposition shows up

•Face It! Faith It! Fight It! Finish It!

•It’s in the Working Phase where Victory is achieved – Psalms 126:5-6
