EQ is more important than IQ

We must learn how to manage & control our emotions.

Unless we learn to manage our emotions, we will constantly be battling feelings of gloom and distress.

Empathy (the ability to understand & share the feelings of others)

It’s up to us to control our heart.

It’s God’s power that makes that possible, but we have to make the choice and draw on God’s ability.

How do we do that?

This verse goes on to say, “trust in God...”

Faith is how we conquer our emotions.

Faith is what overcomes the world….. 1 Jn. 5.4

There is a Super-Natural Peace

The Greek word that was translated “keep or Guard” here is “PHROUREO,” (froo·reh·o/) and it means “to be a watcher in advance, i.e. to mount guard as a sentinel (post spies at gates)” (Strong’s Concordance).

If we will condition ourselves to always walking in peace, God’s peace will protect us.

Anytime we begin to lose our peace, we should step back and identify the problem, see how what we are thinking on, and always remain in peace.

God’s peace acts as an umpire in our lives (Colossians 3:15).

There should not be one person or one circumstance that makes you lose your cool.
