The Table of Shewbread (Bread of His Presence)
Lamp stand made out of one piece of solid pure gold. (Exodus 25:31)
John 15: Jesus said: I am the vine (stem), you are the branches.
Care of the 7 lamps was a daily responsibility
The 9 candled menorah (Hanukiah) created to celebrate Hanukkah
Hanukkah: Commemorates the cleansing and re-dedication of the Jewish Temple under the priest Judas Maccabee
Consider the importance of light in your life
"Illumination of the Temple”
“I am the light of the world.” (John 8:12)
“He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
We can have a dynamic, thriving and vibrant relationship with God when we allow our light to shine
Jesus is the light that will lead you to the kingdom
Feast of Tabernacles also a reminder of God’s future promise
An obvious way to let our light shine and be radically different from non-believers is how we communicate.
Live gratefully. Give thanks constantly.
Seek peace. Be gentle with your words. Build up
A few translations say “do everything without murmurings or reasonings.”
What IF we took The Apostles Paul’s admonition seriously and literally?
It is very difficult to have a thriving, growing, dynamic relationship with Jesus when we are complaining, arguing, murmuring, reasoning.
Various translations: Become blameless, become harmless, become pure, become innocent, without blemish, sincere, live clean, innocent lives
Our relationship with Jesus thrives and our light shines brightly when we put into practice Philippians 2:14-15
