In this parable, Jesus likens the Word of God to seed, and the human heart to soil. In order to prepare ourselves to receive God’s word and bear fruit, we need to:
1. Till the soil.
2. Put down roots.
3. Pull the weeds.
"You have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God." - 1 Peter 1:23
