1. ALL will face final judgment.
Daniel Webster was once asked “what is the single greatest thought that has occupied your mind?” He responded, “That I, will one day give an account of my life to God.”

“A true opium of the people is a belief in nothingness after death – the huge solace of thinking that for our betrayals, greed, cowardice, murders, we are not going to be judged.” ~Nobel laureate Czeslaw Milosz What’s so Great about Christianity?
3. The purpose is to REWARD, not punish, believers.
4. Final Judgment imparts passion for TODAY.

“I had rather walk, as I do, in daily terror of eternity, than feel that this was only a children’s game in which all the contestants would get equally worthless prizes in the end.” T.S. Eliot

“if you read history, you will find that the Christians who did the most for the present world were just those who thought most of the next… It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this. Aim at Heaven and you get Earth ‘thrown in’: aim at earth and you will get neither.” C.S. Lewis

5. Final Judgment teaches us about Jesus.
