Prayer Requests:

Group Discussion: Who is the most optimistic person you’ve ever known?

4 Ways to replace hopelessness with victory:

The Apostle Peter writes,”…who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him.” Vs.22.Therefore how does the victory of Jesus and His guarantee ofa blessed future impact your attitude today?

Peter tells us to,”…sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts…” Vs. 15a This means we set Christ up as the supreme authority in our lives. When we participate in the victory of choice, that Jesus is ultimately in charge of my life, how does that free me to live for Him?

Peter says to,”…always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you…” Vs. 15b When has the victory of spiritualpreparation helped you to speak to someone else about what Christ means to you? What’s one product you discovered, used and were really excited about that you told someone else about?

Peter uses an illustration from the Old Testament about someone who had to endure and persevere in negative circumstances,”…in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark…” Vs. 20b. How could the victory ofthe Godly example of Noah encourage you to keep going when discouraged? Who’s been a great example in your life of perseverance with a great attitude?

Family Time: Get each one of your children animal crackers. Tell your kids the story of Noah from Genesis 6-9. Ask them to name all the animals in the cracker box and that God brought those animals to Noah to take on the ark. Make a list of more animals and ask them what their favorite is and why.
